Craftsman Design Portfolio - 2nd Floor Bath
Historically appropriate bungalow bath 2nd floor bathroom in craftsman home craftsman bath with hexagonal floor tile

1923 Bungalow Bath

Modern fixtures with historically appropriate designs were used to create a brand-new master bathroom on the second floor. To give it the historic feel of the rest of the home, the bathroom included wood wainscoting and handmade ceramic tile. We used traditional hexagonal ceramic tile on the floor.

The bathroom had the additional challenge of a low ceiling height. We overcame that obstacle while adding something special. A full skylight in the shower raised the ceiling height and opened the space to natural light and a breathtaking view of the treetops overhead.

I can’t say enough good things about Wade and his crew. They were creative, responsive, prompt and unobtrusive, resulting in a bathroom that wows all who see it. Just walking in it every morning brings a smile to my face.
